ES-S228T4N Four-component net total radiation sensor

The ES-S228T4N four-component net total radiometer is primarily used to measure the net difference between the total radiation projected downwards from the sky and upwards from the Earth’s surface. It can also be used to measure shortwave radiation and its reflectivity; longwave radiation and its reflectivity; and total radiation.

It is an ideal instrument for research-grade net total radiometer measurements. The measurement range is 0.28–3 μm for shortwave radiation and 3–50 μm for longwave radiation.

Longwave radiation is physically temperature-dependent, and all objects on Earth emit longwave radiation. Therefore, temperature compensation is embedded within the longwave radiation measurement instrument, greatly improving detection accuracy and stability.
