The ES-S228TML fully automatic solar tracker employs two tracking methods: sensor tracking and solar trajectory tracking. Sensor tracking uses a photoelectric converter to sample and analyze changes in solar intensity in real time, driving a mechanical mechanism to track the sun. This results in more accurate direct radiation tracking measurements.

This results in more accurate direct radiation tracking measurements.

The direct radiation sensor is a first-class standard radiometer used to measure radiation perpendicular to the sun’s surface and scattering through a narrow circumpolar sky around the sun. The automatic solar tracker can be used in meteorological stations and research institutions to continuously measure the intensity of direct solar radiation. It conforms to the ISO 9060 (Specifications and classifications of solar, hemispherical, and direct solar radiation meters) international standard and can be used as a first-class standard direct radiation meter. It is suitable for various harsh environments, offering fast response and accurate automatic tracking.

The total (scattered) radiation sensor measures solar radiation received by a horizontal plane from a solid angle of 2π steradian degrees (hemispherical), expressed in W/m². The total radiation sensor operates in a completely passive manner. It utilizes a black coating on the sensor surface to absorb incident solar radiation, converting it into heat energy. This heat creates a temperature difference across the sensing element, generating an output voltage proportional to the amount of incident radiation.
